No, they don't.
14.95 for lunch 19.95 for dinner
It also depends on what you order, if you choose premium rolls, you pay the dinner price no matter the time of day
Our favorite sushi place! We get the all you can eat and our kids 6 and under eat free with us. Great sushi 🍣👍
This place is a dive but the sushi is great. I know it might feel a little suspect ordering raw fish from a restaurant that looks so run-down but they do know how to make some great sushi. My favorite roll is the Godzilla. If you do all-you-can-eat you’ll need to have a decent sized group of at least 4 people. It’s also a good idea to bring along that one friend who seems to be able to keep eating no matter how full they get, just in case.
Sushi itself is pretty good. BUT they literally will not come back to your table after a second time. So the all you can eat sushi is really just 3 or 4 rolls. Very frustrating.
The Sushi itself is good, but the service was very slow. We only got our order once in 2 hours when doing the all you can eat. Waitress checked on us only once and when we tried to speak to the manager, she just yelled at us in Chinese.
The sushi is good. I’d eat the food here again. It seemed understaffed because our service was pretty slow. We got the all you can eat for $20, and it gave us the chance to try all the different types of sushi we wanted.
I've been coming to this place for probably a decade now and it's still my favorite place for sushi. Last week my husband andi placed a pickup order, and when they got there, they fried the two tempura rolls for us so they'd be as fresh as possible. So friendly and helpful and I love their selection.
I love this sushi. Very delicious and fresh! I love sushi and for sure this is the most delicious of all the other places I have ever eaten. I love sushi ya❤️
Amazing sushi and service! We've gone here too many times to count. Had a great experience every time. The all-you-can-eat sushi is such an awesome deal with lots of yummy choices! Those nervous of raw sushi, I'll just say I've eaten here many times, every time had raw, and have never been sick. Yummy, good prices, and excellent service!
It was good. It doesn't look very big on the outside, but it's actually pretty big. They have an all you can eat option that's about $20. It's worth it of you can eat a lot, although, if you only are getting one or two sushi rolls (which is easily enough to fill most people) you can expect about $5-6 per roll. It's not bad because they are pretty filling. Plus, you can easily share with those you with and try lots of different rolls. I recommend the cooked rolls, personally. They tasted the best, but I don't know sushi so I can't say anything regarding authenticity.
I love Love LOVE sushi Ya! I went there with my cousin who served his mission in Korea and I served in Japan. It was so very delicious and a great time making new memories to add to our plethora of memories!
Uncooked rice, gummy seaweed, nauseatingly saucy/sweet rolls, but worst of all I waited 35 minutes without being so much as checked on by a waiter. No refills on my beverage, no follow-up order for sushi, I even stood at my table and still had no luck.Sushi Nah. Don't bother coming here.
I don't normally post negative reviews but I had to for sushi ya. I didn't eat one of the rolls because the Tuna tasted really fishy and gross. I understand you're policy and saying to your customer it tastes all the same is not okay. You can keep my extra cash I paid and avoid this restaurant. I'm not gonna get sick!
Great service considering we had 9 adults and 2 children. 4 stars due to long waiting times and cleanliness.
Best sushi I've ever had! I've been here like 10 times now and it is always better than all other sushi. It's a tradition for me and a bestie to come here and stuff our faces till we're sick. Only con is that it is hard to stop eating when it is all you can eat. 5 out of 5.
We came Friday night so I was packed, they took like 20 to seat us and another 15 minutes seated waiting, then I there was a stop at the bar so we moved and they helped us immediately. The sushi was good especially when we asked the chef what would recommend us then she brought this roll, it was amazing, so we ordered one more of the same roll. We were satisfied.
I would say the quality of sushi is decent. Not gross but definitely NOT fresh. I don’t like that they charge you extra if you don’t eat all of your food regardless of the reason, mainly because if you don’t like something (like imitation crab on your roll 🤢) and can’t stomach it, you have to pay extra for not eating it. I understand that they don’t want people wasting food, but if they’re going to serve items that are unpalatable they shouldn’t make you pay extra.
This is probably my favorite sushi place in town. They have a really good all you can eat deal if it’s before 4pm but usually about 3 rolls is enough for two people for me. I really like the crystal crunch roll. Delicious. The staff was really friendly and the place has cool vibes
This was my favorite place for quite some time. I’ve been living in Salt Lake for a while, and really was excited to come down to Orem to show my girlfriend this place. It’s been some time since I’ve been here, and it’s really heartbreaking to see. The place is outdated, and I swear prices have skyrocketed. Also, the warning on the menu telling you that you will be “charged a fee for not finishing ALL of your rice or food”... come on. I sat down, took one look at the menu, and left. Really unfortunate to see a place I once loved take such a dive.
Pretty good sushi. Our faves are ck special, orange Julius, volcano & Rocky mountain. I'd give them 5 starts if they put a little less rice on their rolls and if it was a little cleaner. Their bathrooms are a little scary. DK is the man.2 challenges for visitors to this sushi restaurant...See if you can find the snowman hanging on the wall.See if you can make the older woman making sushi at the bar smile. My wife was done it twice.
Nigiri sushi has a lot of rice. Much more than is appetizing. Service is not very good. Hand roll was great and appropriate amount of fish to rice ratio. Chicken katsu is just fried chicken strips. Miso is lacking flavor and seaweed, tasted very powdery. No specialty items and very basic menu. Good for a quick lunch if you get hand rolls and regular rolls only.
This place has yummy sushi for a good price. Not the highest quality in the world, but delicious. This is our go to if we're hungry and want to order more than one roll! I would recommend against getting all you can eat. It's usually cheaper to order by the roll and there's more selections. You have to order 3 or 4 rolls to make all you can eat worth it.
The sushi is wonderful .I am not a sushi fan, but I live here, they are fast and fresh
You want to go there with a group of people. If you go there alone, they will ignore you for a long time. You would easily expect more than an hour of wait time on the table before you see any sushi. If you manage to get their attention, you would enjoy the stay.
Fast good sushi. A nice variety of sushi available at a reasonable price. The wait staff were unattentive to anything once the first round of sushi came to the table.
I think the important thing here to remember is this is an all-you-can-eat sushi place. If you go in remembering that you'll have a great experience. Sushi is good the service was good.
Sub-par sushi! Had six people at my table so it became an automatic 18 percent gratuity. So $60 dollars for three rolls which took a half hour to bring to our table. I would highly discourage anyone who likes good sushi or their hard earned money from taking their business to these crooks. Would be no stars if that where a possible!!!!
Excellent sushi! $21 for all you can eat! This is my new favorite restaurant.
A little bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The sushi was made well, and tastes delicious. There is a lot of different sushi to choose from. There was a bit of a wait between us ordering and the food arriving, it was about a half an hour wait, and the waitress didn't come check on us. There's a nice small koi pond in the waiting area, if it takes a while to be seated.
Lots of delicious sushi. The food comes quickly! One of our favorites!
The sushi is very good but they stop coming to the table and we were the only ones in the restaurant and they avoided eye contact so we couldn't flag them down. So basically you can get 2 rolls per person and no refills so not worth 30 Bucks. We were very dissatisfied
This is one of the best sushi places in Utah. All you can eat for $15.45 at lunch and $20.95 at dinner. It's kind of expensive so come hungry if you get the all you can eat. The only other downside is that it can get pretty crowded but for good reason. Anything deep fried with eel sauce is going to be amazing. Anything with cream cheese is great too. Also the more authentic stuff is pretty good
Sooo good, large menu, great service, great prices. Love this place.
Good food reasonably priced. We went to lunch when it was busy. There wasn't a ton of parking but they had plenty of seating and we didn't need to wait at all to be seated. Also, for how busy it was it wasn't too noisy. I enjoyed it very much.
I know with covid being around, it's hard for restaurants to care for their guests but they never offered to refill my water once. And if I tried to flag one down, they kind of run away quickly. I know it sounds like a silly thing but i like my water to be refilled
Good food but it takes a bit long for servers to come get your second round order for all you can eat
Super delicious, great for big or small groups. I wish they had more for kids, but they liked the chicken. Big portions and free drink refills, good prices for all you can eat.
This is the best all you can eat sushi place in Utah as far as I'm concerned. I've been coming here two or three times a year for about 15 years and the food quality is always excellent. Only downsides are a small parking lot, and the quality of service goes up and down.
Excellent sushi, but what do I know I'm just a gaijin. When I walked in I had to walk around a line of at least 40 people waiting, which is why I'm glad I was going to sit at the bar. It was a very busy night with couples there celebrating Valentine's day but there were still open seats at the bar. Ordering at the bar is best because you just tell the guy right there and he makes if for you. If you you have to fill out your order on a sheet of paper, wait for the wait staff to pick it up, and then wait for them to bring your order out to you. I have tried almost every sushi place in Utah county and while there are some with excellent and unique rolls available, we keep coming back to Sushi Ya. Their all-you-can-eat offering is very reasonably priced.
Best Sushi place I’ve ever been to in my life. And I’ve lived in Japan for two years, it’s that good. Best bang for your buck on planet earth
The outside looks a bit run down, but the sushi is amazing. If you like Sushi you will almost certainly end up getting the all-you-can eat, which is reasonably priced (around 18 for lunch and 22 for dinner). Sit at the bar if it is available (your food will come quicker and you can see it made in front of you) I love the Las Vegas, Summer, and Godzilla rolls and all the nigiri are really good as well. (If you have never had sushi before, mix a little of the wasabi into the soy sauce for dipping, the fresh garlic is a palate cleaner)
The food is soso. The restaurant is getting tired and the staff felt jaded. Probably the last time I visit.
Love this place, the sushi is really good and the service is great!
Can't miss with the all you can eat sushi. If it says, "tempura style" it's good. Just bring stretch pants and don't plan on eating for 24 hours after.
We love going to sushi ya. We have gone to a lot of other sushi places, but we keep coming back. Even friends we have introduced to sushi ya like it best. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the service is slow. I think they may be understaffed. Other than that, great place. Best sushi
Went there on a Friday night and had an excellent experience. Very quick and attentive service, especially the people making the sushi, and the food was beyond fantastic. If you are willing to pay a little more then $20 for all you can eat sushi it is well worth your time.
Good value. We enjoyed the volcano roll, mountain, orange julius, and the nigiri had generous slices of fish. Only problem is too much rice with the nigiri, and I'd like to see some more fresh/fruity rolls (lemon, lime, maybe mango). They do ask you to wear a mask until your food arrives, but we took them off at our table. Esp. when the drinks were served.
Yummy sushi, $21.95 all you can eat dinner, my favorite are the crystal roll and the Las Vegas.
The sushi is great and fun to try! And for the price of most rolls, it's a lot less than other places which is what I love! The only downside is they currently are under staffed. The last time we went it was pretty busy so the service was slower but the staff was still very kind and helpful to get what we wanted. A quirk, but doesn't scare me off for tasty but good prices sushi!
The best sushi. Wish they would clean up their establishment a little.
Been going here for 10 years or more favorite spot. Nuff said
